JOB SUMMARY:

Manages a team of order pickers that fill customer orders and prepare for shipment. Schedules staffing and monitors productivity of team members. Trains staff on standard order filling and shipping processes. Ensures all equipment is functioning properly and that all safety procedures are followed. Verifies that sufficient inventory is available to fill orders. Maintains daily activity and productivity reports using designated systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for overseeing the correct loading of trucks according to the instructions found on the pick tickets, voice, and checking orders to ensure customers receive proper products.
• Assist the warehouse crewmembers as needed and responsible for their safety and well-being.
• Observe overall warehouse activities, Vocollect, and loading progress throughout the shift to ensure all picking and loading actions are performed in a safe efficient manner to meet established company standards.
• Check product for accuracy and totals by reviewing the bulk pull sheets and matching the line items to the physical product located in the staging area.
• Confirm picker shortages by visually inspecting locations and verifying shortage in the Term database.
• Upon completion of the loading procedure, confirm that a load bar, handcart and hand jack have been loaded onto each tractor trailer.
• Assure that the warehouse aisles are cleared & the dock area is swept and orderly, all extras & mispicks put away.
• When picking is finished, complete end of shift paperwork, closing procedures, record shortages to customer service and assign coworkers end of night tasks.
• Perform other duties such as printing out invoices, transferring orders from Wise to Voice, filling out loading diagrams, checking pallets for accuracy, build a truck, add-ons, run Jdots, organize driver paperwork, run labels, know the Vocollect system (including how to install a new task package, troubleshoot, know how behind the scene the system works).
